Is my tv broken?

My year old Sceptre flat screen won't turn on. The light is blue but the screen isn't coming on. At first I would replug it in a few times and it would eventually come on. That doesn't even work anymore. Can it be repaired or is it time for a new tv?

Almost everything can be repaired. Is it worth it?
sounds to me like the power supply is having problems. reminds me of a failing ballast on flourescent lights.

If you have to pay someone to do the repair it probably won't be worth the expense.
If you want to take a stab at it yourself a bad power supply is often cause by bad capacitors. These can be replaced with a bit of soldering.
