It does have a SPDIF (optical) output which you could use to feed into an external headphone amp though. I will let others make recommendations for that since I am not 'literate' in those devices.

Thank you for answering my question. I just can not believe that I have televisions 20 years old with headphone jacks, yet, my flatscreen does not. But the take-away from this is that you answered my question without demanding payment. That places you in the top one per cent of useful info (apps) on the internet. Thank you......
You can connect a bluetooth transmitter to the optical audio output and pair headphones to that. Check the TV manual on how to use the optical output. You may need to turn it on, turn the TV speakers off, and change the audio output to PCM to get it working.
