My wife orderd me the lenovo flex 14 inch i5 3 and I wanted to know how is it compared to my old gateway NV55S09u? It has a 2.2 GHz processor 8gb ram Intel HD 5500 and 1 tb 5400 HD. My gateway had a AMD A6-340Om with 4gb ram and Radeon HD 6520G. I play swtor and perfect world online. I wanted a 2 in 1 so that is why she got it. Is this laptop better and how will it play those games vs my gateway? Thank you

The Core i5-5200u (I assume) and it's integrated Intel HD 5500 is a large step up from the weak A6-3400m and it's pretty weak Radeon HD 6520G.

I would say that the Intel Core i5 is probably around 40% - 50% more powerful than the A6. The Intel HD 5500 is probably around 40% - 50% more powerful than the Radeon HD 6520G as well. What FPS will you get? I don't know since I do not play those games.

Edit:

Not sure what you mean by "Perfect World Online" is that a game or are you simply referring to MMO games published by Perfect World Entertainment? I only play one PWE game and that is Star Trek Online. I tested STO with the Intel HD 4400 (instead of the Radeon HD 8850m) in my laptop and I can play that game @ 1600x900 resolution with a...

The Intel HD 5500 is roughly 20% more powerful than the previous generation Intel HD 4400.
