Hello everyone i was just wondering if the msi live update is good cause i'm gonna buy the a10 6800k and my mobo is the msi A75MA-P33 and i was wondering can i just update the bios through this software. i chose this mobo cause its the only available mobo thats an a75 chipset in my city.
p.s i forgot to mention its an upgrade from my old e5800
Live Update is good for keeping chipset drivers and utilities current, BUT
NEVER USE LIVE UPDATE TO UPDATE YOUR BIOS! Many ppl have bricked their MB by using LU to update the BIOS! Check your BIOS and see if it has the "M-Flash" capability. I have used M-Flash now several times on the rig in my sig and it works every time.

thanks for the headsup
but how do you do the m-flash?
M-Flash is an option in the BIOS. First, download and extract the BiOS update and load it on a USB flash drive. Insert the flash drive into a
USB 2.0 PORT. Start the computer and enter the BIOS. You select M-Flash in the BIOS with your mouse and it asks your for the location of your BIOS update file. Point it to the USB flash drive and M-Flash will start.
After the flash is complete, unplug the computer and close the jumpers to "Clear the CMOS". When this is complete, restart the computer, enter the BIOS and "Load Optimized Defaults" for your board. Press F1 to find which key to press for Optimized Defaults. Next, press F10 to save changes and exit. Reboot the computer and enter the BIOS to make any necessary changes, such as disabling the serial and parallel ports. When done, press F10 to save changes and exit to Windows.
Good luck!
