Is the oculus rift- version 1 dev kit still worth getting?

Is the oculus rift- version 1 dev kit still worth getting? - its going at about £150 at the near cex and ive always fancied one! however im not sure if its garbage by today standards- would it work with skyrim/ fallout 4 elite dangerous etc? if nto ill juts save up for the proper one.

No, not worth getting.
Get a DK2 if you can pick one up SUPER cheap and you just want to dip a toe in.

Problem is, Oculus isn't supporting the DK2, so as games update to the latest code for Oculus, older versions of the hardware may not work.
Also, the Dk1 version doesn't do much head tracking, so the experience may be lacking in today's standards. You will pretty much have a poor-man's GearVR.

Sooo.. I would suggest in ranking...
- Dk2
- Gear VR
- HTC Vive
