This is because I hate windows 8 because it is different from desktop. For example if you open internet explore on the app thing it is slower and It is harder to use and you could open it separately in the desktop and it would be traditional and easy to use. And do you no how to make legit program like stream or word.
For Windows 8 you can't. Not without 3rd party stuff anyway. The best compromise is putting either the desktop or your most used application in the very first tile. That way, after you boot up your computer, you can just hit enter and it opens the application or brings you to the desktop (depending on what you have for that tile).
