Solution
Move it to quarantine and then delete it. Sounds like the AV is doing it's job. Then download, and install Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) free version. Run a full system scan and get rid of anything it might find. GL

Well, if you don't remove it, the virus is going to continue running rampant, possibly replicating itself, infecting other portions of Windows and or infect your friends through email, so the question is, why haven't you removed it yet?
After removing it, you can always restore it from a previous backup, if you do backups.

Please post they brand and version of you av software and the exact message you are getting. Some infections look like an av warning but are not what they seem.

do what is in the first post:
http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/spyware-viruses-etc/have-virus-c-windows-system32-drivers-etc-hosts-435411.html

after you edit it, windows will only allow you to save it as a .txt file, do that (in the same folder) then rename it without a file extension.

btw why is this in the CPU section?
