Question Is there any way for an Android 11 phone to connect automatically to any open wifi connection available?

My older mother is going away on a trip in another country and I think she would have trouble figuring out on when to enable an wifi or even get an indication that is free wifi in an area, so I was asking myself if there is any way to connect automatically to any open, free wifi available. Any way to set her phone to do that.
