Is there such a thing as a subwoofer that you can connect to an AUX Cord?

Might be a dumb question, but I don't want to put a subwoofer in my car (as in with the amp and new deck, and I know this is about a car, but its audio), but one I could hook up to a an AUX Cord as I have one. So is there a subwoofer with an amp or similar already wired to it that I could simply split the connection from my iPod to the cars speakers and then to the subwoofer and hook up external power? If this all makes sense?

The subwoofer would still have to be wired to the cars 12v electrical system but since you have an aux input on your head unit you should be able to wire it to that and use one connection from your iPod. You would have the same two connections at the sub to unplug when you want to remove it.

Yes I know I would need to hook up power to it with the 12V but my issue is actually finding a subwoofer that I can use for it.
