MSI GP60 Leopard-472 15.6″ Notebook - Core i7 4710HQ - 8 GB RAM - 1 TB HDD

Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor running at up to 3.4 GHz with turbo boost

8GB of DDR3L 1600 MHz RAM

NVIDIA Ge - Force GTX 840M graphics with 2GB memory

FYI: I'm going to be playing games such as GTA 5, call of Duty, GMod, etc.

Solution
The 840m is only considered a mainstream GPU which is generally good enough to play games at 1366x768 or 1600x900 with medium graphic settings; depending on how demanding the game is. It is possible to play games at 1080p, but only for non graphically demanding games.

If you want a "good performing" gaming laptop, then you need to consider getting a laptop with a GTX 860m GPU.

I don't know if you will be able to see this jaguarskx but will the GTX 940 and up, I found more with GTX 940M all the way to GTX 980M, will all of these be better?

The 940m (it is not a GTX) is only marginally more powerful than the 840m to the point where there is hardly any difference overall. The same can be said of the GTX 860m and GTX 960m. Only starting with the GTX 970m does performance begin to be significantly better than the prior generation; the GTX 970m is close to the performance of the GTX 880m.

Regardless, if you want "good performance" you should consider at least a GTX 860m or GTX 960m if you can fit it into your budget. If the 840m / 940m is the best that you can afford, then there's not much you can do about that.
