Is this a good laptop for $539

Solution
Well, since you have a lot of taxes in Canada (chiefly the VAT), that's probably a good price for that PC. I tend to think I could get an equivalent one cheaper in the U.S. if I hunted around for sales and was patient, but maybe not. I like that it's got an SSD caching drive, and although I don't want one, it also has a touch screen, which raises the cost a little. I think for Canada it sounds like a good price, but I haven't bought a laptop in a while so don't take this as gospel.
Well, since you wrote that you would be playing "games occasionally (nothing stressful)", then, yes, it sounds like it would handle what you want, depending of course on your definition of "nothing stressful". HD 4000 graphics is not bad for integrated graphics, but you won't be playing Crysis 3 on it or Battlefield 4. Five or six year old games, or newer ones that don't demand a lot from the graphics card, sure. It sounds like a decent price, depending on what country you live in.
