Is this a good laptop set-up!

So I'm building my own gaming/school laptop now is it enough to have the following set-up
Processor: i7-4710MQ 6M cache
Video-card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M
Ram: 24 GB or 16 GB don't know if the 24GB is needed or a money loss
HDD: 1TB (7200RPM)
SSD: don't know if 120GB is enough or 256GB
Wifi-card:Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 + bluetooth
System: windows 8.1 pro or just windows 8.1

Give me your toughest to what I should downgrade or upgrade or what is just unnecessary or things that I missed.

I would get a gtx 900 series gpu and downgrade on the cpu. The cpu is only important if you do lots of multi tasking or programming work. As for the ssd, I would get the smaller version unless you plan to store the games on it.Also 24 gigs of ram is overkill. 16 should be enough.
