Is this laptop ASUS G73JH-X5 Republic of Gamers 17.3" good for gaming?

I am inclined to buy this laptop:

which is selling for about $1600.00 at amazon-dot-com. I just need some feedback from this forum. Thanks.

great choice m8.with that whopping 8gb of ram and 5870 you will be able to play most of the games in max settings.from personal experience it is great

You may not find a review on the actual X5 model.
Most of the model differences were minor. Different HDD setups, Blu-Ray driver included or not, etc.
A1 had 2x 500GB HDD and Blu-Ray drive. A2 2x 500GB HDD. X1 500GB HD, X2 500GB and Blu-Ray drive. X2 2x 320GB HDD.
