This is the laptop:

In what ways will the laptop be better and what ways will it be worse?
I don't care about the screen or keyboard etc, just gaming and computing/editing power.

(I assume it is way better in terms of gaming, but not sure how good these laptop CPUs are..)

Thanks for all and any help!

I know, but that's not really an option, as a PC wouldn't be practical at all.

How does the CPU compare?

Gpu is better cpu is pretty much the same as what you have now if you get the 7700 hq. However if this thing has to be portable DON'T get a 17.3 inch it's not practical at all go for a 15.6 inch that including with a charger does not weigh more than 3.5kg otherwise it's going to be a pain to carry around with you.

Doesn't have to be super-portable, just more so than a PC.

So if I can get my PC sold for £650 and buy this laptop for £1600, would you say that's worth it?
