Ok so i am in a large debate on getting a portable gaming laptop or getting a God Like Desktop.

For the laptop i would want it because it is portable and i would take it between my mom's and Dad's houses and i would take it to school for video editing in my Broadcast Class instead of waiting for a workstation there to be available, Plus their adobe is 2 years behind to my adobe so i cant work at home then work at the school computers for my videos.

Price: $1,399

The Desktop would have to stay at my mom's house and i would not be able to take it to my dad's or school, But it would be a Core i7-7700k 16gb RAM 1TB HDD with a GTX 1080Ti

I would recommend that you wait for max q laptops to come out as these are supposed to be able to play games in a small form factor. The earliest one that is coming out is in july from MSI I think.

This sounds like a situation where the portability is important. I'd suggest you go for the laptop. My only suggestion is if you can add an M.2 SSD (256 GB or 512GB) to the laptop for the OS/programs/in-process projects. This will really improve the boot time, program load time and general user performance of the laptop.

Whats the advantage of waiting for the Max Q Laptops, all i see is that they are much thinner and quieter lol
