I just got a new notebook for normal use and light gaming but is this notebook good enough for browsing, Skype, Yahoo IM, Watching YouTube, etc. I got this notebook from Office Depot locally for $220. But just didn't know if this was a good working machine.

So the Intel N2830 is slow and 2GB ram is not good? I thought any computers today will do whatever you need to do. Or did I get a bad computer? I also see that this notebook just came into the store not long ago so that's why it's on sale for $220. It will go back to $280 next week according to the sale date on Office Depot.

But if this is bad then I can return it.

I did notice just now when looking at other notebooks around the same price range that most come with 4GB of ram. Does that mean 2GB of ram is very low? Or is 2GB a standard and just some companies put 4GB on better machines? I just see a lot have 4GB and I wonder if that's why you were saying that my memory is low.

What I did was buying this notebook because of the price and didn't compare specs till now but I see there are notebooks that have AMD processors but are they good or better? Like the AMD E1-2100 that HP has for $250 at Walmart. That one also have 4GB of ram. Maybe I should of done more research before buying what I got? Or will I be fine for sure with what I got?

Not really if your doing basic stuff like the things you have mentioned. They probably just have it as some laptops have the full version of windows 8 which is slow if you only have 2 gigs. Even windows 7 is the same. Only xp is made for such a low amount of ram.

Well the notebook has Windows 8 on it so I guess it will be slow or did I miss understand you?

I did talk to some people and they said even if I played games like WoW, The Sims 3, RuneScape or Guild Wars 2 it will run fine on the Toshiba on the lowest settings. But is this true? They said that the games that I listed are low demanding.
