Is using charger only without battery installed can damage your laptap?

can i use my laptap or netbook w/out battery installed in it and by using its charger only?can it cause damage to my laptap/netbook?

No, you should be just fine as long as it is the charger that came with the laptop. Just make sure not to accidentally stick a finger or something into the battery space- save yourself the trouble of a good shock.
