Hey just wondering if anyone has ever done this and if it works ok,
I'm uninstalling 3 way speakers out of their wood box and installing them on a drywall wall, the hollow wall will become the speaker box only much larger and not completely square, will the speakers still sound good out of their box and installed in the wall ?

Anyone ?

Thank you for the feed back, that is what thought, what if I create a box in the drywall close to the original speaker box size but only the depth of the 2 x 6 wall, would that be reasonable ? maybe good enough to work?

No don't have to use those speakers, but I always want to try my own way and speakers are free.
I also made a box with two 3way speakers to play USB mp3 that I use for indoor or outdoor and sounds great, again free speakers. The amp from China for $ 17 is the only cost, amp also has FM tuner, 100 watts per channel, can't go wrong along with the satisfaction of making your own.
Again thanks

^ a $17 Chinese amp will not have 100w per channel.

No doubt its ine of the minis that runs on 12v power ??

About 20w rms per channel at best .

Dont get me wrong , you can get some decent sound from them but dont expect anything deafening.
