My laptop is Asus x455LJ
Specs :
CPU : i3 5005u 2.0ghz
GPU : Nvidia GT-920m
RAM : 4gb

I'm usually using Bluestacks, Chrome, Sony Vegas Pro 11 and Macromedia Flash 8
Most of the time, I usually open all of the programs above altogether.
When its time to gaming, I usually play GTA V or Watch Dogs

Will the 8gb ram upgrade give significant boost to all my tasks above?

Solution
When you multitask, you want sufficient ram to hold all of the active tasks in ram without the need to access the page file.
4gb is really too small.

I might add that converting to a ssd is probably the biggest boost in performance you can buy for everyday tasks.

I'm an animator. Yes, all the programs I did mentioned are open often. How significant the improvement? Will it be two times better or less, or could more?

The cpu is one of the main things that make an improvement, graphically, the gpu is next in line. RAM may not make it 2x or 3x faster, but opening up all of the tabs and going back and forth in each program will be a lot smoother.
