I've recorded a live concert on my Tascam 2488.It's one continuous long "song" and over 7000MB's.How can I break it up into separate songs ? Is there a way of cutting and pasting a section and saving it somewhere as a separate song.

Thanks for your suggestion of using Audacity.
However,I have a concert recorded as one long "song " of 7242 MB.
I want to save it to my computer but this must be done thru the FAT partition of the 2488 which is only 4000mb.
Is it possible with the 2488 to cut and paste sections of my one long song into shorter songs in the same partition and thereby export them thru the FAT partition one at a time.

It's in Partition 01 on the TASCAM. It seems that any USB backup to a computer needs to be done through the FAT partition of the TASCAM
