Maybe he'll work on implementing a version of Java free of patents from Oracle at Google. Who knows.

If the Father of Java is moving to Google, (IMHO, a company who pushes Chrome/V8 VS HH/Jaegermonkey and Android/Dalvik VM VS iOS/Nitro etc etc etc...) then we could certainly hope to see a large push forward in the performance of post-Honeycomb Android environments.

I am quite hopeful to see what Gosling is able to help develop now that his reins have been loosened and traded for Google's creative leash!
