Anyone ever used these in a 'Studio' type situation? I know they were
originally a theater type speaker.

I'm a BIG JBL fan, I have several sets of the 4311's, 4410's, and a set
of 4301's. The 4311's are my favorite. I REALLY like their sound...but I
have NO experience with the 4312's. Any thoughts?

Were the 4312's the one with the nasty Titanium tweets? Or was a 4412?
Harvey?

The 4312s are 4311s turned upside-down. Basically it's the same monitor with
the woofer on the bottom. I have a pair on my family room stereo system.

4311s are really the better monitors since they keep the tweeters at ear
level. I think the 4312s were made for people wanting hte speakers in their
homes, and who thought woofers on top looked funny ;-)

I received mine as a wedding gift...a nice one :) As you can imagine,
they're pretty bassy sitting on my floor. I really should put them on
stands...shorter stands than you would use for the 4311s.

I think it was the first version of the 4311 that used the Titanium
tweeters. That was eliminated very quickly, IIRC.
