Quite interesting.

It be good to see more.

My camcorder footage of the same talk is much nearer to Jeri, has
a sharper image, and includes scenes before and after the official talk.
I'd like to thank FCUG member, Mitch Zollinger, and girlfriend,
Xinghua, for meeting me for lunch at the Amarin Thai Restaurant and then
leading me to the Stanford campus and pointing me to the auditorium.
Without them, I would have been very lost in that part of the Bay Area.
(Well, I did get lost when trying to find the Kabul Afghan Restaurant,
which was where everybody met for dinner after the talk. Mitch and Xingy
were not around to help me afterwards. However, I did finally find the
restaurant.)

Is there a transcript somewhere that I can scan instead of listening to over
an hour of this.

Dane.

Could you please give a link to a usable file rather than this above?

I already extracted the following:

http://lang.stanford.edu/courses/ee380/050518-ee380-100.wmv
http://171.64.115.101/courses/ee380/050518-ee380-100.wmv?MSWMExt=.asf
http://171.64.115.101:80/courses/ee380/050518-ee380-100.wmv?MSWMExt=.asf

in addition to the one you gave but none of them give me anything useful.

Will it be possible to get that from you somehow in a crossplatform
format via BT for example?

This is really interesting.. but I have to go to bed and it is taking a
while.. so I am downloading it as described in some other posts here.. I'll
probably turn it into a VideoCD... Then I can watch it on my TV. Too bad
the quality is so low. I don't suppose anybody has a high-res version of
this somewhere?

Media player opens the link and plays the video but...

Yep, none of those will allow the downloading of the file itself. Seems the
server only accepts uploads requested from certain applications. I guess
they don't want the video downloaded.

If Robert makes his video available, or someone else can figure out a way to
download the file...

Clockmeister.

There are programs that can work around that sort of thing. "SDP
Downloader" or "Streambox VCR" comes to mind.

The former can be found here:

hm, that made me wonder what's wrong.. I swapped the connection (ISP)
and in fact it worked after that. I think I'll have to check with the
ISP. Thanks a lot.

I've also had some strange unreachable parts of the internet yesterday.
Some apparently attribute it to flooding of the internet backbones with Star
Wars ep3 rips.
