JETech bluetooth transmitter, how to reset (or pair)

I have a JETech Bluetooth transmitter and receiver and i originally paired a Bluetooth headset to it, this headset has since broken and i wanted to pair it with these Taotronics Bluetooth earbuds, but it won't. where am i going wrong?

on the Taotronics Bluetooth earbuds, The pairing process is very straightforward and nearly self explanatory. All you need to do is press and hold the “play” button for roughly 5 seconds. You should then see the LED blink between red and blue. At this time, go into your device’s settings and select the “TaoTronics” connection. Uses Bluetooth 4.1

Yes, the earbuds blink, but not red and blue, just blue and nothing. the connect screen on my computer itself displays nothing (not even for my headphones that are paired to it)

I had the same issue.
I held down the power button for approximately 7 seconds (or until it starts to blink red + blue alternatively). That finally seemed to work and came up on my device.
