Jobs: We Made the iTouch as Cheap as Possible

Shame you can't do the same for your overpriced "boutique" computers. The fact that I can buy an equivalent speed PC for half the price or spend the same money and get a PC that runs twice as fast... well... leaves a lot to be said for Stevenomics.

The didn't put a cammera on the iTouch because nobody in their mind would buy the CONTRACT bound iphone.
It would canabalize their iphone sales, obviously doesn't cost much to add the feature to the nano which reflects in the price.
Apple is just anonying like that. Premium price for premium junk.
I can only guess that Apple makes 100% profit off everything they produce.

I have a camera for my camera and can care less. But a camera on a nano is pretty much pointless.

The biggest point for me is what kind of camera were they considering? Was it going to be photo or video? If photo, then how many MP? If video, was it going to be HD? Would it be able to do both video and stills?

These are the important questions that would really make the difference in whether or not they should have added the camera. If they really want to compete with the flip or the vado or any other pocket video cams, then the Nano was definitely the wrong choice.

Maybe they need to quit focusing on the ipod touch and games, and start porting games to the mac.

ill play my music on any device that allows me to FREEELY upload/download MY OWN mp3's to from MY PC without HAVING TO PAY for a 3rd party software that does nothing but complicate and sensor my life, every mp3 capable device can do that BUT Apple's stuff.

hey i dont know about u but i cant afford a camera and an itouch i want the itouch with a camera it would give nore feautures just add it so people dont have to buy a camera and the itouch
