[citation][nom]figgus[/nom]DHS could also share your data with other federal agencies or private entities for language translation, data decryption or "other reasons."TrueCrypt is good, but my money says the NSA has a "master key" (ie they cracked the algorithms).Even if not, the argument they would use is that you must be a terrorist because you are hiding something. The mass media and the population at large would buy into that in a heartbeat, even the CEO of Google expressed that sentiment not long ago.[/citation]

There is no such thing as a master key... Even with the best super computer you can find it'll take decades to decrypt 3 layers of 256bit encryption if you use a LONG random password.

[citation][nom]mr_tuel[/nom]Just to piss them off, I'd destroy the hard drive in front of their face, and say "search this!"[/citation]

They would go, "alright we will."

Destroying the hard drive in such a matter leaves most data perfectly intact. You fail.

[citation][nom]littlec[/nom]There is no source nor will there ever be, those in the know and in the INFOSEC business claim it as fact. Hell if kids of the University of Michigan(http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/09/1024-bit-rsa-encryption-cracked-by-carefully-starving-cpu-of-ele/) can bypass it I think it is safe to assume the NSA which has been openly opposed to RSA for over 2 decades have cracked it.[/citation]

Wow...took em nearly 2 decades? You should be able to get in and out of an airport in a fraction of that time.

If you don't like RSA use AES. 128-bit AES is approximately equal to 2600-bits worth of RSA.

Considering that the following movie has several shots of nude children on a beach, and aired on cable, I don't see how one picture of a nude child on a beach (a fairly innocent location, if there ever were one, for such a picture), could be called child porn:

[citation][nom]killerclick[/nom]And Obama being born in Kenya is a commonly accepted assumption in the Birther community, yet it's also unsubstantiated bullshit.[/citation]

What does that have to do with this discussion at all? Since you brought it up, why did the Hawaiian governor lock Obama's birth certificate away? Why did the Hawaii legislature approve a measure to "ignore requests from individuals or organizations" for his birth certificate? Why is he the only president or candidate to ever have that done? His own grandmother said he was born in Kenya. She's dead now, whether naturally or otherwise; she isn't here to speak anymore. I'm sure its because there's absolutely nothing to hide, because that's what makes the most sense.

[citation][nom]John Stickler[/nom]It sounds like many of the commenters here are in favor of people being able to hold onto their child pornography. What's the deal? Anything you are bringing across the international border is subject to search. Expect it and get over it. I for one would rather have my stuff gone through and have kids safer world wide. Made it too dangerous to have the stuff and the market will get smaller.[/citation]
No one here is for child porn. but you have to understand there is a criteria for what child porn is! It is written in the Federal Law:

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode18/usc_sec_18_00002256----000-.html

I simple naked picture of a child is not in and of itself Child porn! How many parents with naked photos of their own kids would be criminals? There is a movie called "Pretty Baby" (or something like that) with what has to be a 10 or 11 year old Brooke Shields fully naked from the front and behind. You can rent it from Netflix!
I don't condone Child porn but I do despise people who see pedophiles coming out of the walls and sacrificing their liberties and freedoms and expecting me to as well just because of their own paranoia!

"I am a Muslim," Obama Tells Egyptian Foreign Minister Gheit
Islamic Coup on the White House

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said he had a one-on-one meeting with Obama, in which President Obama told him that he was still a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father, the stepson of Muslim stepfather, that his half brothers in Kenya are Muslims, and that he was sympathetic towards the Muslim agenda.

Being open source is even more reason to think someone has a good rainbow table to crack the keys dude. If you don't think the government would hire the exact creator just for that task you guys are foolish.
