So I was wondering, when people say that "too many programs installed makes your computer run slow" why is this true? As long as the programs aren't running it wont slow it down, right?
Many programs have a small application that runs in the background even though you haven't started the main program. Also when you start ti fill up a drive it starts to retrieve data slower as blocks of data can be further(physically on the drive) away from each other.
