Hello, I just reassembled my laptop and turned it on. I notice its not going to the startup screen so I was guessing its at some kind of setup thing before that but I don't know because I cant see. My laptop screen hasn't been working so I was using a monitor with my laptop but that doesn't show anything before the startup screen so now Im stuck. Is there any examples of a startup screen like in this situation? Any more options..

Solution
The only thing I can say is to verify the cable for the VGA output and the RAM if they are seated correctly. You could remove the HDD and power up without it, you will have a warning that you have no OS, but you will see something on the screen.

Well that's the thing, I can't get into windows. I would try pressing all sorts of buttons but I'm,scared if they were going to asking me to format something.

Tried, got nothing. Using vga cable.pc is hdx18. If there is a set of instructions that I could do in this situation I think that would be the best option. But idk, I'm not the expert.

I basically took it all apart, cleaning the fan and all. The screen has been like that for almost 2 years. I'm pretty sure I just need a new inverter for that but I plan on buying a new laptop soon so I don't want to,spend anymore money on this one. Thing is, I need the data from the PC so it still, needs to be working by then. This is not good.....

Hey jarotech, to be honest I was a bit scared doing anything with with hard drives but when I was checking the ram I noticed the hdd was loose so I fixed that. Looking on another site I was able to find out how to get the external, monitor working. By unplugging the screen cable, It turned the monitor to its default screen. Thank you for taking the time to help me out tho. Really appreciate it.
