Hi, My Kaspersky expires today and it costs $69 to renew for a year, ouch! Should I renew it or get a different internet security? Thank you.

here is a reason not...
Any particular reason for the uncertainty? Beyond price perhaps?

If you know Kaspersky and if it has provided the features and protection you need then stay with it.

List the pro's and con's of Kaspersky versus some other product. Include the price if that is an issue.

I am doing the same thing. Just got an email that my AV software is going to be automatically renewed in 2 weeks for $161 per year. Not what I want to sign up for. Ouch indeed!

Hoping they will offer a discount for me to stay. I am planning to ask.

Contact Kaspersky and ask. Nothing to lose by doing so.

$161 per year?! Is it for 5 devices?! Man, I will pass that if it cost me over $100. In my opinion, $60 is a lot for single security software.

@SumTingW0ng

Agree: way too much $.

3 (Three) licenses. Last year was $45.00 USD.

Not sure what the vendor has done. Will be visiting my account to figure it all out.

They may have upgraded my license etc. and hope that I do not notice the automated payment being made to my credit card....

Stay away from Kaspersky. Look up Google articles like the below link.
https://www.wired.com/2012/07/ff_kaspersky/
and
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-11/kaspersky-lab-has-been-working-with-russian-intelligence
and
https://www.tomsguide.com/us/is-kaspersky-safe,news-25983.html

lots of kaspersky leaders have backgrounds associated with the KGB. Eugene Kaspersky apparently often has lunch with KGB officials. Due to its high ratings, I used Kaspersky years ago, but have switched to another because of this Russian nonsense.

Malwarebytes can find some things that Bitdefender does not. The free version of Malwarebytes is on everyone of my PCs.

The free version of Malwarebytes is only an 'On demand' virus scanner. Bitdefender is "real time" always on.

Oooooooh. I thought he meant Malwarebytes as real time protection, not an on demand scanner.
