Kayboard is typing by itself

The letter l (L) appears on its one and all the time. However if I select L it does not work.
Also the mouse pad is not always working. I can hear the binging sound in the background and sometimes it just goes back to the log in page.
My laptop went mental, how can this be fixed?

The times I have seen this is when somebody had a virus or they spilled something on their keyboard and it messed with the sensors. Have you gotten a virus recently that you know of? Have you spilled anything on the keyboard? Been through a power outage/bad battery?

you mean update generally? windows is up to date
