My question is...
Should I keep the HP or take it back and get the Dell? The Dell is $35.84 more including tax.

The are pretty similar. The exception is the HP has a touchscreen and the Dell has a backlit keyboard.

If the backlit keyboard is something you want and you do not mind going through the hassle of returning the HP, then perhaps the extra $36 is worth it to you.

I would recommend that you keep the current laptop as the backlit keyboard and the touchscreen is the only difference. Save up and when you see something that is within your range which offers better performance, then only buy it.
