Keep Until Mis-behavior since 7.1a

Ever since the 7.1a upgrade, I have the following behavior:

My default for "Keep Until" is "Spave Needed". I go to change to recording
options for a show on the To Do list to add time to the end of the show (and
do not alter the "Keep Until" option). I save the change. If I go back to look
at the recording options, the "Keep Until" has been changed to "2 Days". I
have to change this back to "Space Needed".

When I go back and check the recording options again, it's once again back to
2 Days. If I set it to any other value (other than "Space Needed"), including
"1 Day", it sticks. But "Space Needed" does not.

If I change NOTHING, but select with "Record episode with these options", it
changes the "Keep Until" to "2 Days".

Anyone else observed this?

I called and reported this to TiVo Support. They have recreated the bug and
will be fixing it in the "next" software update.

Being in the software business myself, I know that "next" isn't necessarily
the next one that is downloaded, but could be the following one, as the next
one to be downloaded may already be in the pipeline (QA, beta, etc.).

But I thank TiVo for accepting the behavior as incorrect and intending to fix
it.

Luckily, this is just a UI bug and not a change in behavior.

The current "space needed" setting defaults to "2 days" until a show gets
marked as "available for deletion". Apparently, 7.1a is just showing
the reality of what the underlying OS is doing.

I still wonder why you can't change the "Keep Until" on an SP or ARWL so
that all recordings would have that setting as their default. You have
to manually change each entry in the "To Do" list to get anything but
"2 Days/Space Needed" or "I Delete".
