Kef egg speakers and connecting a subwoofer to them

Hello,

If anyone could please help me out with this I have a pair of kef egg speakers hooked up to my computer. I am looking to add a subwoofer to them. I ended up buying a pioneer sw-8mk2 subwoofer however when I go to connect it to the speakers the "subwoofer" cable https/www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00TX4GF0I/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1523212324&sr=8-2-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=subwoofer+cable&psc=1 this is the one I purchased. Doesn't fit into the back of the speakers. Does anyone know what kind of cable I need in order to hook the two up?

As you already know that's the wrong cable.
The subout of the KEF is a mono mini plug. You need a cable with this at one end and a single RCA plug at the other. The RCA can connect to either left or right input on the sub. No need to connect to both in this case.

Just another quick question is a mono mini plug is the same as a 3.5mm jack? Sorry I'm new to all of this

It is 3.5 mm but it is two conductors rather than the 3 conductors you would use for headphones
