Keyboard alternatives for Android 4.2.2 phones

The keyboard on my LG 620 is too small for me, making inputting data difficult. Are there apps I can get that present better (larger) keyboards? How can I have my LG620 keyboard <always> appear in landscape mode, without regard to the unit's orientation?

Sorry, I just have to doublecheck. You say your phone is the LG620? As in, this slider phone? http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-LG620

While there are literally dozens of keyboard apps in the Play Store, they are all..., well, they're touchscreen reliant, and if that is your phone, I don't think it even has touchscreen capabilities. On the off chance I'm wrong though, SwiftKey and Swype are two of the more popular keyboards you'll probably want to look at.
