Depending on your problem, you might want to start with a simple system restore (and not a full blown reset). Just go into "Control Panel" and then "Backup and Restore" or you can just search for "System Restore" (without the quotes). This will allow you to restore the laptop to a prior date.

If that isn't enough, then your best bet is going to be (if you are using Windows 10) go to "Start Menu" and then "Settings). Type "Reset" (again no quotes) in the search and choose "Reset this PC" from the list given. It should be in the "Recovery" sections of "Update and Security". Here you want to click "Get Started".
