Kindle APP any opinions?

Has anyone used Amazon's Kindle app?

Is it a resource hog?
Does it download anything stupid?
Should I download it?

I use it on android. I think an android tablet plus the Kindle app is a better choice than the Amazon tablets. With the Amazon tablets, you don't get access to the Google store, only Amazon's store. Amazon's store is not as complete.
