laptop authority keyoard

hello,
the following keys are not working on my laptop:

p
:
the up arrow
?
and a few others in that area.
this is highly annoying and i was wondering if there was any way of fixing this without buying a new keyboard or taking it to the shop

Try disconnecting the ribbon from the motherboard and reconnect it, you will see if it's a bad connection. You sure you have not spill something on the keyboard.
