laptop automatically shut down problem

my laptop shut down automatically when battery goes below 50%, after shut down i press the power button it wont on, next i plug the ac adapter and press the power botton it will on, tell me the solution, i also checked the power options it will correct

You might need double check your advanced power plan settings under the Battery option to see if it may have been set to shutdown the computer when the battery level reaches that level, and make any changes needed.
