[citation][nom]pwjone1[/nom]Well, the guide here reads like the Sunday Fashion supplement in the NY Times. Interesting, but not really practical. What would be nice to have in a Tom's guide is:1. How heavy is the case?2. How well does the shoulder strap work (comfort)?3. How well does it protect the laptop? (drops, side impact, etc.)4. What size laptops (12, 14, 15, 15.4, 16, 17, ...) fit?Laptop Mag does some reviews, with a bit more practical information, but this is crying out for something more in-depth, so prospective buyers can really compare. Not that style is not a factor, but that's more a personal choice thing.[/citation]
pwjone1,
Good idea! We're looking into doing thorough reviews of laptop bags here at Tom's Guide. Obviously, this article was not a review--we simply wanted to show the breadth and depth of what is available on the market for style-oriented laptop owners.
Thanks for listing exactly what you'd want to know about the bags if we had reviewed them.
All the best,
Rachel Rosmarin, Editor, Tom's Guide
