laptop charger help

last year i had to buy a new charger for my compaq presario CQ57 laptop and now less than a year later it seems i will have to buy a new one only i can't afford it. the casing near the base of the charger where it connects to the laptop is gone and now some coppers wires are exposed from the black wrapped wires. theres 2 white and 1 black and only the black one has exposed wires. i have to mess with it to get it to charge also. is there anyway to fix the charger or do i need to find a way to get money to replace it entirely once again.

could you post a picture of the broken parts maybe there is a way to fix it so it could work .
