Laptop charger reconnects/disconnects itself

After around 30 minutes of gaming my laptop charger starts to disconnect and reconnect itself. At first it's around 1 disconnect per 5 minutes but then it gets to the point where the disconnects are constant leaving no time between. In a sense locking me at 10 fps

Any help/solutions are greatly appreciated.

It could be the charger is overheating or going out. (replacement chargers are cheap and easy to get...check eBay)

It could be the charger has a slightly undersized tip. How long have You been using this charger? Is it the original one that came with the laptop?

It could be the connector on Your laptop is going bad. (replacement can be bought off eBay, and they can be soldered on by a competent person)


It could be the circuit in Your laptop is overheating or going out (this would be bad.)


I would buy a replacement charger first, and see if that fixed it. If not, it's a problem with the laptop, which is much more of a pain to fix.
