Laptop comparison acer vs lenovo same price

Hey everyone,

I hope this isn't again the rules but I"m looking at buying a laptop for my mom. budget is $400 and I found two that are on sale. She doesn't game or anything, just going to use it for email, youtube, browsing.

the first is an acer

the specs for similar other than the acer has 6gb and 4 cores while the lenovo has 8 gb ram and 2 cores. I realize the acer comes with a couple extra's but I want to base this decision solely on the which laptop is better. again, both will be $400 when on sale.

I say go with the Lenovo, she doesn't need all that ram, but lenovos are more forgiving to people who aren't techies and in my experience last longer. the ram is nice though. just a better deal with it.
