Hello all,

I'm trying to decided between these 3 Dell laptops, two are Dell Latitude E7240 are another is Dell Latitude E6330. Here are the specs between the 3, and i'm trying to figure out which is the better one to get. I'll be using this mainly for portability, use in class and on the road. HDMI is a necessity which these three do have. So that's why i like the 13.3-12.5in screen sizes. The prices reflect a used ebay price i'm looking at. Here they are:

Dell Latitude E6330: 13.3" 1366x768 screen, i5-3340M 2.7Ghz, 16GB RAM, 160GB HDD (would upgrade this to 250GB with an extra i have) Intel graphics, Wireless N, normal keyboard - $249

Dell Latitude E7240: 12.5" 1366x768 screen, i5-4310U 2.00Ghz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel graphics, Wireless AC, backlit keyboard - $359

Dell Latitude E7240: 12.5" 1920x1080 touchscreen, i7-4600U 2.10 Ghz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel graphics, Wireless AC, backlit keyboard - #399

So my questions are as follows:

Which laptop will provide the best bang for buck? Is 1920x1080 too high of a resolution for a 12.5in screen? Any thoughts on that touchscreen? What would be faster, a computer with the higher clock and RAM speed but with a HDD, or one with a lower clock, less RAM but an SSD?

Thanks for your input!

For me, I would take the 3rd Dell laptop with the 1920x1080 screen and the 512GB SSD.

I prefer to see a lot of information on the screen. But it also depends on how good your eye sight is. Small text can be offset by increasing the scaling or lowering the resolution to something like 1600x900. But adjusting the scaling does not degrade the sharpness of the text.

assuming they are all within your budget, i would go for the second e7240. to me, the resolution is a deal breaker. but having the higher capacity SSD is rpetty solid.

if the resolution doesnt bother you much, i would go for the first e7240. The jump from the 160gb hdd to the 256gb SSD is huge to me

if you have time, try to go to bestbuy or walmart/any store and look at the tablets/laptops. i wont buy anythign less than 1080 anymore. even my 7" tablet is 1080. as for the touch screen, i think itd be a nice feature but im suggesting the 2nd 7240 mainly for the resolution/storage

Oh wow, the icons must be small on a 7in tablet. I was wondering about buying new, but i have a feeling for similar specs, I'll be spending well over my budget. But didn't want to spend over $400 so i thought these were good options. Thanks
