It cut off the rest of my post....AMD 8800 vs i5 6400, both with dedicated GPU. I've only seen 8800w/ GPU compared against i5 w/ Integrated graphics, so any help is appreciated!

Considering that a Radeon R8 M365DX is less powerful than a nVidia 940mx, that means the lower Radeon R8 M350DX is also less powerful than the nvidia 940mx. Therefore, the Acer is better for playing games.

The Intel+Nvidia option will get you better gaming performance.
