laptop connected throy' HDMI to VGA projector

1. My Dell laptop connects to WiFi but not thro' Ethernet cable. Same cable works in another computer.
2. Same laptop does not display when connected thr' HDMI to VGA to projector. In display no option shown. Please help

1. Sounds like the ethernet port is not enabled. Search for Change Adapter Options ins settings. Right click on the Ethernet icon and make sure it's enabled.
