laptop cpu upgrade. is this true?

i was looking around for atleast a sliver of hope i could upgrade my laptop apu. I then found this: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1649072/upgrading-amd-4500m-apu.html if you look at the last post it says you can buy them from the website he linked. can anyone confirm this or is it a trick?

If you mean aliexpress, it's like ebay. You won't find laptop cpus for new, only used. You'd want to check if you could even upgrade it and it's still not recommended without knowing what is compatible to the bios.

so if i trust ebay i can trust aliexpress basically. the thread is for the same processor as mine i would just have to do some more research into the bios then.

I did a CPU upgrade on mine which isn't officially supported. It is better to know for sure, but it seems more that the CPU will either not work, or run fine. Not cause damage. So if you have trouble finding documentation, you might consider buying an upgraded unit that uses the same socket and try. If it works, then great, if not then sell it online. Might loose a few dollars but might be all you have.
