Laptop dead on but works on battery- power adapter fine

my laptop only works with the battery in,and pluged in,pull battery out it dies,unplug computer and it dies

Your battery is depleted. Buy a new battery for your laptop model. Some laptops don't work unless a battery is installed.

Thank you very much,somebody said to put the battery in the freezer for 24 hours take out let sit for 2 hours then try,I still have it in freezer,cant wate to try it.
