I switched on my laptop and the lights were on, hard drive was spinning but no fan sound and no display at all. The previous night, I was watching a movie on bed without cooling pad and i fell asleep with the charger on. It was on till the morning. I switched it off and went to college. The problem started when I Came back, and turned it on. Could it be that the fan is not working since it was on all night without a cooling pad on bed? Or some other issue. Please help. Thank you

Might have overheated but they generally will shut down to prevent damage before it gets too hot.
Try pulling battery if possible, unplugging power cord, then holding power button for 30 seconds. Plug power cord back in and try to boot.
