Question Laptop died and sparked after plugging charger

So I was using my Hp laptop when I decided to plug in the power adapter. Then my laptop just suddenly died and I heard a spark inside near the power jack. I already tried removing the battery but still no charge led lights. I was wondering if the damage is in the mobo or power jack cause I cant smell or see any burns in the mobo.

1. Dont touch it unless you have equipment, there could be hazard. If you have equipment, then you can probs continue to next step
2. Since you checked mobo and didnt see anything, or in power jack id recommend you search harder if you havent, check the drive, cpu and anythng else.
3. If it seems fine, power it on again, but stay away incase it sparks again. If it doesnt seem to spark after, you should be good to go.
4. If it doesnt seem fine maybe try swapping out the jack and see if it works, or swap hardware (only if possible)
5. Then try again, i honestly dknow, seems weird
