Laptop Doesnt Run Games Well Anymore

Recently I noticed that my fps is dropping to 18 or below in every single game I play when it used to be 40-60. I defragged my hard drive and ssd. No issues. I cleaned it using CCleaner. No issues. I downloaded razer's game enhancer, razer cortex. I made sure every game was running on the GeForce graphics instead of the i7. Nothing worked. I have a DELL Inspirion 7559.
Video Card: GeForce GTX 960M
CPU: intel i7 @2.6GHz
Ram: 16gb
OS: Windows 10

Since the 960m is older model graphics, I'm guessing you've had this a while? What are the temps? Laptops after a while can get dust clogged in the heatsinks and require taking apart and cleaning.

Ya since December 2016 I believe so about a year and a half. But do you mean temps while running a game or during normal use?

While running a game. That's when the most load is put on the hardware, and that's when overheating can occur if your processor coolers are excessively dirty.

CoreTemp says all 3 cores are 65,66,66,70 C while running pubg.
I messed with pubg and it gets about 70-90 fps. But when I play fornite or any other game the fps is 30 or less on the lowest quality settings. And the temps are around 60 with fortnite and other games.

What are the temps on your GPU? The GPU does most of the work.
